A
note of thanks from Captain BillThanks
to all my clients and sponsors for helping to make 2008 the best season yet for
Draggin' Fly Charters. I am very fortunate to have such loyal clients.
While many charter groups struggled to fill boats, the Draggin' Fly was
fully booked throughout the season. We actually had to turn customers away so
remember to book early for next year. The
off-season will be a busy one. I will be collaborating on some major projects,
developing articles for publication in 2009, and perfecting some new flies for
the Supremus Flies Company. During the winter, I will be working as a ski pro
at Sunday River, Maine. If you venture to Sunday River, be sure to say hello.
When not teaching skiing, I will be working the winter boat and sport shows for
corporate sponsors. Stop by and see what's in the works for next year.
I
will also be busy at the vise and working on web site updates. Look for a photo
album to be posted this winter on www.fishboston.com.
Again, thanks to
all who fished aboard the Draggin' Fly this past season. I value your friendship
and look forward to sharing more time on the water with you. Be sure to
check out the season wrap-up on the fishing report page.
Tight Lines,
Captain

Draggin'
Fly Charters "Boston Harbor Revisited 2007"
Large
bass and bluefish continue to invade the Inner Harbor bays, and with the cooling
waters, explosive fall fishing is just around the corner. There is plenty of bait
to continue to attract fish-the water is teeming with schools of herring, pogies
(menhaden) and silversides. Juvenile bunker should soon begin to move into the
Harbor in massive numbers, which will signal in an increase in top water action.
Although, fishing during the last week in August was challenging, overall August
fishing was exceptionally good. On many trips, anglers jumped fish in excess of
three feet that attack both lures and flies. And there were enough trophy fish
hooked to keep everyone on their toes.
Draggin'
Fly Charters will be fishing well into October and
the fall migration promises to be an exciting time to spend time on the water.
Available dates are very limited. Don't miss out - be sure to book
now.

from the Draggin' Fly, which highlights this season's fishing adventures and

Gift certificates are now available for the 2009
season aboard the Draggin' Fly.
Tight lines, Captain
Bill
